Caring for your jewellery <

All of our jewellery is either silver or gold plated (unless otherwise stated in the product description). All jewellery is prone to tarnishing and wear, however you can keep your piece looking fab for as long as possible by taking extra care when wearing, storing and cleaning it. Firstly, it is important to avoid it coming into contact with chemicals such as cosmetic products and chlorine, which can cause tarnishing and erosion. Extra care should always be taken when cleaning plated jewellery to protect the top layer from being worn away or scratched. Also note that jewellery should be stored in separate pouches or boxes to prevent pieces rubbing, getting tangled and scratching against one another. There is a wealth of information on Google about how to care for plated jewellery, so if you would like more information please do look there!
Over time, due to natural wear and tear, items of jewellery may need to be professionally polished, repaired, re-plated or re-conditioned. we are happy to help with any reconditioning requests, please email us on contact@moodgood.co.uk for a quote. < x
